Veterans Parkway Grand Opening & Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Veterans Parkway Grand Opening & Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

On Friday, October 2, 2015, a celebration took place in Marshall County for the grand opening of the long-awaited VETERANS PARKWAY. Despite chilly winds, the Marshall County Commissioners welcomed a large crowd ~ including US Senator Joe Donnelly, several former commissioners, representatives from both INDOT and MACOG, numerous area veterans, and all the companies from engineering to construction that made this project possible. This newly constructed Parkway will offer a new route to accommodate local residents; it will provide easy access to the new US 31 for emergency response teams, and eventually become a new economic corridor for Marshall County. Best of all, naming this new road “Veterans Parkway” is a great way to honor and acknowledge military members who served from Marshall County, both past and present, and thank them for their service.
